ScraperAPI Pricing FAQs

Yes, ScraperAPI offers a free plan where you can sign up here and get 1,000 free API credits (with a maximum of 5 concurrent connections). If you need additional API credits for testing purposes, please contact support.

With ScraperAPI, one credit is the cost of a standard page request, but what you actually consume depends on the site you’re scraping and the parameters you send. You can check the exact cost for any URL using the Domain Cost Estimator in your dashboard, and you can set a max_cost per scrape to keep any single request within your limit.

Because some sites are harder to scrape, ScraperAPI has built custom logic for them and prices them accordingly. A standard page costs 1 credit. Amazon costs 5, Google and Bing (including their subdomains) cost 25, and LinkedIn costs 30. Sites behind bot protection like Cloudflare, Datadome, or PerimeterX add 10 credits per request when we bypass them. You can check the exact cost for any URL using the Domain Cost Estimator in your dashboard, and you can set a max_cost per scrape to keep any single request within your limit.

You can keep track of your ScraperAPI request volume and your concurrent request count in the dashboard after you sign up for an account.

If you exceed your ScraperAPI limits, you’ll get a 429 response asking you to bring your concurrency back within your plan’s limit and try again. There’s no extra charge for going over, the request is simply turned away rather than queued.

By default, scraping pauses until your credits renew. There are a few ways to keep your requests going without interruption, depending on your plan. On Hobby, Startup, Business, Scaling, and Professional, turn on auto-upgrade to move to the next plan when your credits run out. On Scaling, Professional, Advanced, and Enterprise, you can use pay-as-you-go to keep scraping at a fixed per-credit rate, up to a monthly cap you set. Annual plans can also renew early for a fresh batch of credits.

Upgrading moves you to a higher plan with a larger allowance, usually at a better price per credit. You can upgrade anytime from the billing page. Auto-upgrade does this for you. When your credits run out, your account moves to the next plan automatically. It’s opt-in and available on Hobby, Startup, Business, Scaling, and Professional.
Pay-as-you-go lets you keep scraping past your limit at a fixed per-credit rate without changing plans, up to a monthly spending cap you set. It’s available on Scaling, Professional, Advanced, and Enterprise.

No, your ScraperAPI credit balance resets when your subscription renews. If your usage has changed, you can move up or down a plan anytime from the billing page.

Custom ScraperAPI Enterprise pricing applies across your usage, with the exception of requests to Ultra Premium which carry their own minimum rate. Your sales contact can walk you through exactly how this applies to your workload.
